NATIVE PEOPLES OF ILLINOIS (1673-1835)

Exhibit design for Schingoethe Center of Native American Cultures, Aurora University, Aurora, IL.

Concept designed by Linnea Koch using text and artifacts supplied by the museum and illustrations by Meg Bero, Assistant Director of the museum.

Challenge: to create an exhibit which explains both verbally and visually the history of Native American tribes in Illinois. The exhibit contains 28 panels and artifacts. It won the Superior Award for Exhibitions given by the Illinois State Historical Society and the Association fo Illinois Museums and Historical Societies in 2001.
